Abdullah Gül University Quality Coordination Department carried out unit visits to all departments at AGU in line with the preparatory work carried out within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) as of April 2025.
Abdullah Gül University Quality Coordination Office, as part of the preparatory work carried out within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) as of April 2025, visited computer engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science and nanotechnology engineering, bioengineering, molecular biology and genetics, architecture, business administration, economics, psychology, political science and international relations departments and units. The main purpose of these visits is to disseminate the quality assurance culture throughout the university and transform it into a systematic structure.
During the visits, the up-to-dateness of the unit's website content, the functioning of quality commissions, stakeholder participation, process management and documentation of evidence were evaluated in detail. As a result of the visit, it was seen that all processes in the unit were structured according to the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Take Action) cycle and evidence was collected in accordance with quality criteria.
In addition, critical management questions such as mechanisms to improve research competence of academic and administrative staff, transparency of appointment-promotion processes, participation of students in quality processes, evaluation of program competencies were also discussed and welcomed. Elements such as functioning of graduate tracking systems, reward-incentive structures, public information processes and socio-cultural activities were also discussed.
Within the scope of the visit, awareness was raised regarding ISER and IAP processes, strengths and areas open to development were determined and action plans were created. Adopting the concept of continuous improvement, AGU makes significant contributions to its institutional development by strengthening its quality assurance system with these studies.
